Pensioner's Club/ Highbury 3rd Age
Our club helps older people to meet new friends and have discussions and get involved in activities.

Lunch clubs are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:OOam - 3:30 pm for lunch, followed by Social Club, which involves Bingo and Raffle competitions.
We have a mini-bus to pick up those with mobility problems.
Our club helps older people to meet new friends and have discussions and get involved in activities. We also provide Keep Fit sessions and gentle exercises.
Each year the pensioners enjoy many trips and outings. Recent trips have included Hyde Park, with picnic provided by the Roundhouse staff, and trips to Clacton- on-Sea and Margate beach.
We have good relationships with other organisations in the borough and we work together to enhance social opportunities for Pensioners in Islington and Highbury.
An annual Christmas Party is held in the main hall, and is also attended by pensioners from other community centres.
In 2009 we hope to deliver an intensive programme of activities and advice sessions such as staying safe, accident prevention, benefits advice, pensions matters and housing and mobility issues.
New visitors are always made to feel welcome by staff and by those who attend.
